Excellent backup choice
Customer service was very helpful in answering questions before my purchcase. After it was delivered, it was so easy to set up. I was backing up in no time.

Great! But a louder fan than I was hoping
A great drive, but maybe not for use in a studio.

editing machine!
My video projects started getting bigger and ssds too pricey so a buddy recommended I try this. Plenty of speed for editing when set to raid-0 and no more lacking space

workhorse
been using these for years, surprised they still come with firewire and esata (does anyone still use those?) but its a beast for sure. works at the same speed as newer raids for less $$ so I keep buying them.

I cant fault it, I just need a bit more
In essence, its a simple RAID 1 drive to give you 4 TB of peace of mind. But 4TB will only go so far if you shoot a lot of 4k video. Also, the drives wont be fast enough to edit off off. I pull my content out storage and onto a 250Gb SSD drive when I edit. It works for me on my budget. But I do look forward to the upgrading one day to a system that has larger storage and I can edit from. But such a system I have in mind will cost 10 times what this costs. So for now, I'm happy with what I got.
